Luxuwrist.com is proud to offer a vintage Heuer Autavia, Reference 11630. The Autavia is one of Heuer’s most popular models and features the venerable Caliber 12 automatic chronograph movement. This Autavia also features the popular Viceroy colorway, although this watch is well past the promotion dates for the Viceroy watches. As Heuers continue to steadily rise in popularity (and price) this is an excellent example to wear or stash away before Autavias become harder to find.
Condition is per the photos and as follows:
Case: 42mm case in good condition with no major scratches or dents. There are some light scratches and scuffs throughout commensurate with age. The case appears to be unpolished and shows wide, sharp chamfers and sunburst finishing on the top of the case. Serial number dates the watch to the mid 1970s.
Bezel: 60 click bidirectional tachymeter bezel. Bezel action is smooth. Insert is original and shows some scratching. The bezel retains its original glossy finish and has light fading to a great charcoal color.
Dial/Hands: Original matte black dial with red accents just as in the Viceroy watches. Dial is extremely clean with no wear or discoloration. The hands are original and luminous plots have faded to a darker patina. Hour markers on the dial are even and creamy as shown.
Caseback: Original caseback in very good condition with very minor scratching and wear as shown.
Crystal: Recently replaced mineral glass crystal in excellent condition with no scratching.
Movement: Heuer Cal. 12 automatic chronograph movement in excellent running condition. The watch keeps great time and the chronograph starts, stops, and resets to zero. The watch has reportedly just been serviced but no service paperwork is available. With the timekeeping and chronograph functions working as perfectly as they are and the previously mentioned newly fitted crystal, we do believe the watch has been recently serviced.
Bracelet/Strap: New unworn black perforated leather rally style strap with polished SS buckle.
Box/Papers/Accessories: None. Sold as watch only.
