If you’re familiar with our offerings, we’ve taken a certain liking to the Soccer Timer. It’s so quintessential late 60s/early 70s with the cushion case and funky colors, but still fits in with modern vinage-inspired styles. The roulette bezel model offers an additional splash of color and usually command a premium over the tachy bezel variants.
The Soccer Timer is a unique model that has an additional 45-minute counter on the minute totalizer portion of the chronograph to accurately time 45 minute long halves in a soccer match. Along with the unique function is a set of very vibrant and unique color combinations, with this model being no exception with the bright red subdials and colorful bezel. Add in a tropical dial, and it’s a recipe for a beautiful and unique vintage watch.
Here we have an Omega Seamaster Soccer Timer chronograph, reference 145.019 with a 305XXXXX serial number dating production to the early 70’s.
This Seamaster Soccer Timer 145.020 is in very good vintage condition.
Case: 42mm case in good vintage condition as shown with original case chamfers still present. There is minor wear throughout commensurate with age but no significant dings or dents.
Bezel: Internal rotating 24 hour bezel in good vintage condition as shown. Bezel action is smooth.
Dial/Hands: Original dial and handset in good vintage condition. The dial has faded to a tropical brown while the black and red subdials have retained their coloring. There is minor wear to the dial as shown in the photos. Hands show some wear and fading on the black painted portions. The chronograph seconds hand is a replacement.
Caseback: Original Seamaster caseback marked 145.019 inside. The caseback has been previously polished and there are tool marks present around the caseback notches.
Crystal: Brand new OEM Omega replacement crystal with no wear. Omega symbol embossed in the center.
Movement: Original Caliber 861 hand wound chronograph movement in excellent condition with the watch keeping excellent time and all functions working as they should, including chronograph reset to zero.
Bracelet/Strap: Brand new vintage style leather strap.
