This is a great example of one of the most popular vintage Speedmaster references, the pre-moon 145.022. This Speedy has a fantastic dial with creamy, even patina on the hour markers and matching hands, along with the signature pre-moon caseback.
Take a look at the photos and our condition description below:
Case: Stainless steel case in very good vintage condition. The case has been polished but retains its crisp lines on the transitions from brushed to polished surfaces with thick lugs and is free from any major dents or large scratches. One pusher tube looks to have been replaced in the past (note the contrast in wear on the pusher tubes most easily seen in the caseback photo).
Bezel: Original dot next to 90 (DNN) bezel in very good condition with some very light spots of wear as shown.
Dial/Hands: Dial is original stepped tritium and flawless, with deep color and evenly colored creamy hour markers. The hand set is also original and in excellent condition with matching patina.
Caseback: Original 145.022-69 caseback in very good vintage condition as pictured with nice crisp engravings.
Crystal: Freshly installed OEM Omega hesalite crystal free of any scratching or marks. The crystal still has its protective sticker on it.
Movement: Caliber 861 manual wound chronograph movement. Watch is running great with smooth winding and chrono operation. All functions work as they should including chronograph start, stop, and return to zero. 29.6 million serial number dates production to circa 1970. Service history is unknown.
Bracelet/Strap: New vintage style brown leather strap.
Accessories: None, sold as watch only.
