The Chronomat has been a staple of the Brietling collection since the 1940s, and their signature specialized tool watch chronograph. Originally created to equip the famous Frecce Tricolori elite flight team, the Chronomat has advanced over the years both technically and aesthetically, with the modern iteration housing an in-house movement, the iconic Pilot bracelet, and signature bezel, all while maintaining its unique styling, originally guided by the demands of Italian pilots.
In 2014, to mark the 30th Anniversary of Chronomat, Breitling introduced the airborne 44 with some unique features such as satin-brushed bezel with black markers, black dial with silver subdials, distinctive red chronograph center hand and vintage color luminescence material in the dial markers and hands to match the vintage look of the historic Chronomat. Our example is equipped with the stainless steel pilot bracelet, making for a very versatile wearing watch. It's also in like new condition, with only slight signs of wear.

Case and Bezel: 44mm polished stainless steel case in excellent condition with only very light surface marks as pictured. The satin finished 120 click unidirectional bezel has black degradations with polished rider tabs and is in excellent condition as pictured.
Dial/Hands: Black dial with silver subregisters free from any defects. The dial and hands have a vintage style lume which glows excellently.
Caseback: SS caseback engraved with an anniversary inscription and a plane. All engravings are crisp.
Crystal: Original lightly domed AR coated sapphire crystal free of any scratches, swirls, cracks or chips.
Movement: Breitling B01 Manufacture automatic chronograph movement with 70 hour power reserve. All functions operate as they should with excellent timekeeping.
Bracelet/Strap: OEM Breitling Pilot bracelet in excellent condition as pictured with only minor surface marks on some links and the clasp. Bracelet will fit up to a 7.5" wrist.
Accessories: None, sold as watch only.
