The vintage Zenith CP2 "A. Carielli" has become a vintage watch legend for its military history and outstanding design features. It's no wonder the Italian Air Force chose the original manual-wound chronograph with its superior legibility and rotating timing bezel, and Zenith was able to capture the essence in this re-edition over 40 years later, while adding some modern touches.
The modern Tipo CP2 retains all of the aesthetic features of the original watch, with a 43mm polished steel case, large subdials, lumed arabic markers, and 60 minute bidirectional rotating timing bezel. The biggest difference in the re-issue is the movement, where the hand-wound caliber DP 146 is replaced with an automatic El Primero high beat movement. The El Primero's column-wheel operation ensures a firm, even reliable action with every actuation of a pusher.
The Heritage Tipo CP2 was produced in a limited run of 1000 serialized pieces in late 2016 and remains one of the truest re-issues of an iconic vintage watch available. We're pleased to offer this example in excellent condition that needs only a new wrist.

Case and Bezel: 43mm polished stainless steel case in like new condition. There are no nicks, dings, dents, or scratches other than surface swirls. The bidirectional 60 click bezel is also in like new condition.
Dial/Hands: Matte black dial with painted arabic numerals and applied Zenith star logo. Hour/min hands are polished with a segmented hour hand with a contrasting white painted chronograph seconds hand with great lume. The dial and hands are flawless.
Caseback: SS brushed caseback with CP2 designation. The serialized number of the watch is at the 6 o'clock position, and all engravings are present and crisp.
Crystal: AR coated sapphire crystal free of any scratches, swirls, cracks or chips.
Movement: Zenith El-Primero automatic column-wheel chronograph movement (caliber 4069) operating perfectly.
Bracelet/Strap: Original black leather pilot style strap with Zenith push-button double folding deployant clasp. Both strap and clasp are in excellent condition with only very light signs of wear.
Accessories: Inner and outer boxes are included, papers/manual are not included.
