The pre-moon Speedmaster will always be a favorite among collectors, and is arguably the most historically important watch ever made. These early caliber 861 pre-moons are becoming more scarce, and we're pleased to offer this ready to wear original example of this legendary reference.
Take a look at the photos and our condition description below:
Case: 42mm stainless steel case in very good vintage condition. The case has seen minimal polishing and retains crisp edges between the brushed and polished surfaces.
Bezel: Original dot next to 90 "DNN" bezel in very good condition with some minor wear spots on the bezel surface as pictured.
Dial/Hands: Dial is original stepped tritium in excellent condition and free of any staining, scratching, or damage with intact lume plots. Hands are also original tritium hands with a darker, even patina on the hour and minute hands, and a slightly lighter chronograph seconds hand.
Caseback: Original 145.022-69 pre-moon Hippocampus caseback in very good vintage condition as pictured with nice crisp engravings.
