Vintage 1977 Rolex Datejust Ref. 1601 - SOLD
Here we have a great example of the legendary Rolex Datejust, reference 1601. The Datejust is a timeless classic that embodies versatility, style, and quality. This watch features an original "pie pan" stepped tritum dial combined with an SS case and yellow gold fluted bezel in excellent condition.

Case: 36mm stainless steel case in excellent vintage condition as pictured. The polished case sides are bright and the brushed lugs are thick and crisp with only minimal surface swirls. There are no major signs of wear on the case. Crown screws down securely. The case has been previously polished but is very crisp with thick even lugs. Serial and reference numbers are both visible. Serial is 5.15 million, dating production to approximately 1977.
Bezel: Original yellow gold fluted bezel with sharp, deep flutes in excellent condition as pictured.
Dial/Hands: Original "pie pan" stepped champagne dial with raised markers and intact tritium. Hands are also original and have some minor spotting as pictured. The date wheel is also original with open 6's and 9's.
Caseback: Original caseback in very good condition as pictured.
Crystal: Domed acrylic crystal in excellent condition. There are no deep scratches, chips, or cracks in the crystal.
Movement: Rolex caliber 1575 automatic movement with hacking. The movement is in excellent condition and keeping great time. All functions work as they should including instant change date at midnight. Service history is unknown.
Bracelet/Strap: New brown leather strap with steel buckle as pictured.
Box/Papers/Accessories: None, sold as watch only.
