Vintage 1973 Rolex Datejust Ref. 1601 - Silver Linen Dial - SOLD
Here we have a great example of the legendary Rolex Datejust, reference 1601. The Datejust is a timeless classic that embodies versatility, style, and quality. This watch features an original "pie pan" stepped tritum dial with the unique textured linen finish, combined with an SS case and yellow gold fluted bezel in excellent condition.

Case: 36mm stainless steel case in very good vintage condition as pictured. The polished case sides are bright and the brushed lugs are thick and crisp. There are signs of wear on the case commensurate with use as shown in the photos. Crown screws down securely. Serial and reference numbers are both visible. Serial is 3.50 million, dating production to approximately 1973.
Bezel: Original yellow gold fluted bezel with sharp, deep flutes in excellent condition as pictured.
Dial/Hands: Original "pie pan" stepped silver linentextured dial with raised applied markers and intact original tritium with some loss on the 6 o'clock marker. Hands are also original gold. The date wheel is also original with open 6's and 9's.
Caseback: Original caseback in good vintage condition as pictured.
Crystal: Acrylic crystal in excellent condition. There are no deep scratches, chips, or cracks in the crystal.
Movement: Rolex caliber 1575 automatic movement with hacking. The movement is in excellent condition and keeping great time. All functions work as they should including instant change date at midnight. Service history is unknown.
Bracelet/Strap: New brown leather strap with steel buckle as pictured.
Box/Papers/Accessories: None, sold as watch only.
