Omega Speedmaster Broad Arrow 1957 "Re-issue" Ref. 3594.50 Cal. 1861 - Serviced - SOLD
The Speedmaster Professional is arguably the most important watch ever made for its association with NASA and the space program since the 1960s. It also helps that the watch has an extremely legible tri-compax dial, clean crisp design with twisted lugs and mixed case finishing, and an extremely durable hand wound movement.
That legacy led to Omega calling back to the first Speedmaster, the CK2915, as the inspiration to the 3594.50. Often called the "re-issue" or "replica" model, this watch brings elements of the original Speedmaster like the applied logo dial with long hour markers, the polished Broad Arrow hands, and the steel bezel with a base 1000 tachy scale. Those vintage elements combine with the modern twisted lug case and caliber 1861 movement for a great blend of celebrating both history and progress. The 3594.50 was produced from approximately 1997-2003, with the earlier watches coming on the 1499 bracelet like the example offered here, and later watches coming on the non-tapered 1998 bracelet.
