1985 Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch 145.022 Cal. 861 - SOLD
The Omega Speedmaster Professional is arguably the most important watch ever made, and its importance and timeless design have made the made the Speedmaster a staple for collectors. We're pleased to offer this excellent example of the reference 145.022 Moonwatch. This watch is original down to the tritium dial and hands which have developed a wonderful creamy patina, and the caliber 861 beating away inside is in excellent mechanical shape and with a serial number dating the watch to circa 1985.

Case: 42mm stainless steel case in very good condition as pictured with sharp edges and thick lugs. There is surface wear throughout as shown in the photos.
Bezel: Original tachymeter bezel in very good condition as pictured with only scattered minor spots of wear.
Dial/Hands: Dial is original matte black tritium in excellent condition with intact lume plots and a very light patina on the hour markers. Hands are older luminova service replacements in excellent condition.
Caseback: Original moon landing stamped caseback in very good condition as pictured with nice crisp engravings and intact enamel.
Crystal: OEM Omega hesalite crystal in very good condition as pictured with only minor surface scratching.
Movement: Caliber 861 manual wound chronograph movement. 46.87 million serial number dates production to circa 1985. The watch runs great and keeps good time, with all movement functions working as intended, including chronograph start, stop, and return to zero. Service history is unknown.
Bracelet/Strap: Original 1171/1 bracelet in very good condition with minor surface wear throughout. The bracelet is large and will fit an 8" wrist with ease.
