Rolex Air King Ref. 116900 40mm Full Set - SOLD
The Rolex Air King had been considered a more entry-level watch throughout its history, coming in with a smaller case size than the other sport models but still with plenty of the classic Rolex DNA, like the 100m water resistant Oyster case and bracelet, screw down crown and chronometer certification. The Air King was discontinued in 2014 and a completely revamped model, the watch you see here, was released in 2016. No longer the entry-level piece in the line, the 116900 was now offered in a larger 40mm case with an aviation-inspired dial with white gold applied 3-6-9 markers, magnetic resistance like the Milgauss, and Rolex's Superlative Chronometer status. The new Air King quickly caught on as something just a little different in the Rolex lineup to be a hit and the 116900 remains a popular model with enthusiasts.
The watch offered here is in excellent condition as shown in the photographs and comes with most of the original accessories, from the warranty card down to the bezel protector and both inner and outer boxes.

Case: 40mm stainless steel case with a random serial number. The case is in excellent condition with thick lugs and only very minor surface wear as pictured. Crown screws down very securely.
Bezel: Polished stainless steel bezel in excellent condition as pictured with only very light signs of surface wear.
Dial/Hands: Black dial with white gold applied 3-6-9 markers and green/yellow accents. Dial and hands are in flawless condition.
Crystal: Original sapphire crystal in excellent condition as pictured, free from scratching or chips.
Caseback: Original caseback in excellent condition as shown.
Movement: Rolex caliber 3131 movement in excellent condition that winds, runs, and sets time as it should. Timekeeping is excellent although service history is unknown.
Strap: Original solid link bracelet with 12 links. Bracelet is in fantastic condition including a very strong coronet on the clasp and no stretch.
Accessories: This watch comes with the original inner and outer boxes, hang tag, bezel protector, warranty booklet, warranty card holder, and warranty card dated 2017.
