2000 Rolex Submariner Date 16610 w/ Box and Papers - SEL/Holes Case - A Series - SOLD
Rolex's Submariner is synonymous with the concept of a tool watch, and at the same time a classic design icon and one of the most important watches ever made. The watch offered here is the reference 16610 which uses Rolex's unique 904L stainless steel case and is powered by the 3135 caliber COSC certified movement.
The watch offered here is in outstanding condition for its age and looks like it has been seldom worn throughout its life, with a very thick case with crisp brushing and bright polished surfaces, a thick coronet on the bracelet clasp, and an excellent condition bezel insert.
This is an excellent condition example of the legendary Submariner, and being a late A-series serial, is one of the first watches with a Superluminova dial and a solid end link bracelet. This is also part of the small run of watches with the solid end link bracelet and a holes case, keeping the true tool watch look but with the much more modern and well constructed solid link bracelet. The original warranty papers, box, manual, and polishing cloth round out a great collector's set.

Case: 40mm stainless steel case with a A serial number indicating circa 1999 production, with papers dated July 2000. The case is in excellent condition with thick lugs and only minor surface wear as pictured. Crown screws down very securely.
Bezel: 120 click unidirectional bezel in excellent condition as pictured. The original bezel insert retains the original tritium pearl and is free from any major wear.
Dial/Hands: Original Superluminova "Swiss Made" dial and hand set in mint condition free from any damage or defects.
Crystal: Original sapphire crystal in excellent condition as pictured, free from scratching or chips.
Caseback: Original caseback in excellent condition as shown.
Movement: Original Caliber 3135 movement in excellent condition that winds, runs, and sets time as it should. Timekeeping is excellent although service history is unknown.
Strap: Original 93250 bracelet with solid end links with all 12 links. Bracelet is in fantastic condition including a very strong coronet on the clasp and very little stretch.
Accessories: This watch comes with the original box, polishing cloth, instruction manual, and original warranty papers as pictured.
