We're proud to offer a 1997 Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch Ref. 3590.50 on the rare 1499 bracelet. No watch has a history as rich as the Omega Speedmaster, and unfortunately since none of us are likely to set foot on the moon, as watch enthusiasts we lust after the same gear these legendary explorers strapped on the outside of their spacesuits. This watch, powered by the modern chronograph caliber 861, brings us just a tiny bit closer to that small step and giant leap. With a beautiful case in outstanding condition, completely original parts, and dial with wonderful patina, this Speedmaster is a perfect modern representation of the most important exploration of all time.
This Speedmaster is in excellent pre-owned condition with a 48M serial indicating 1997 production.
Case: Original unpolished case in excellent condition with only very minor signs of wear the original brushed and polished surfaces are crisp with sharp transitions.
Bezel: Original tachymetre bezel in mint condition with no scratches or missing paint.
Dial/Hands: Original tritium dial and hands in perfect condition. The luminous material has faded to a wonderful cream patina, however the watch still glows in the dark giving the best of both worlds.
Caseback: Moon landing caseback with only a tiny bit of missing paint on the “N” in Moon.
Crystal: Original Omega crystal with embossed logo in the center. Extremely clear with only very minor sparse surface swirls.
Movement: Omega caliber 861 hand-wound chronograph movement in excellent condition. The watch keeps great time and all chronograph functions work as they should including resetting to zero.
Bracelet/Strap: Original rare 1499 bracelet sized for a 7.25” wrist. No additional links are included.
