Vintage 1973 Rolex Datejust Ref. 1601 "No Lume" Dial SS/WG with Original Papers
Offered here is a great example of the legendary Rolex Datejust, reference 1601. The Datejust is a timeless classic that embodies versatility, style, and quality. This watch features a rare "no lume" dial which features a more ornate black and white gold marker and hand set, all set upon a silver "pie pan" stepped dial. This dial configuration is a scarce and unique feature on a watch that is in excellent condition and comes with its original warranty papers.
Take a look at our detailed photos and description below:
Case: 36mm stainless steel case in excellent vintage condition as pictured. The polished case sides are bright and the brushed lugs are thick and crisp with only minimal surface wear. The crown screws down securely. Serial and reference numbers are both visible. The original 3.22 million serial number dates to 1973, matching the date on the papers.
Bezel: Original white gold fluted bezel with sharp, deep flutes in excellent condition as pictured.
Dial/Hands: Original "pie pan" stepped silver "no lume" dial with raised white gold markers featuring slim black inserts and original white gold hands with black inserts. The dial and hands are in fantastic condition. The date wheel is also original with open 6's and 9's.
