If you've ever browsed our site, by now you know the story behind the legendary Moonwatch. This model from 1983 has the venerable caliber 861 movement and is an excellent example that is ready to be enjoyed.
Condition is per the photos and as follows:
Case: 42mm stainless steel case in good condition as shown. Polished surfaces are excellent and brushed areas of the case are sharp. There are no deep scratches, dings or dents in the case although a scratch is present on the 9’oclock case side and is shown in the photos.
Bezel: Modern replacement OEM Omega tachymetre bezel in excellent condition as shown.
Dial/Hands: Original matte dial and hands. The tritium markers and hands have faded to a beautiful even cream patina. The minute totalizer hand resets extremely slightly to the right of the marker, visible in the photos.
Caseback: Commemorate moonwatch caseback showing minor wear in some spots as shown. Caseback is a ref. 145.002-76 indicating a replacement currently on the watch.
Crystal: Acrylic crystal with no major scratching and no chips or cracks.
Movement: Omega cal. 861 hand wound chronograph movement in excellent condition and keeping good time. All functions work as they should and the chronograph resets to zero. 44.8M serial number indicates 1983 production.
Bracelet/Strap: Original Omega 1171 bracelet sized for a 7.25” wrist.
Accessories: None.
